The sea trout has always been in my eyes one of my favourite fish to catch, I’ve caught fish from all around the world, be it an ocean going torpedo like a long tail tuna or a big feisty giant trevally trying to engulf your surf candy as your run out of stripping power! The sea trout still comes in as one of my favourite species to catch. Fishing small doubles in the riffle water of the River Coquet on a summer evening or pulling surface lures in the pitch black on a slow pool of the River Till. Its always a different scenario and working out these fish is an amazing experience, pound for pound I have always said that sea trout fight much harder than salmon and I think most will agree.
