Our Fishing & Guiding Services
Established in the North East of England for many years now, Chasing Fins are able to provide a wide range of fishing and guiding services & packages suited to everyone. Whether you’re an avid fisherman or a complete novice we can provide a bespoke package, tailored specifically to suit your requirements.
We are really spoilt for choice in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders as we have some of the best salmon and sea trout rivers in the UK and Europe including:
The River Tweed
The River Tweed which attracts fisherman and anglers from all over the world and has always been renowned as one of the best.
The River Tyne
The River Tyne, both the North Tyne & South Tyne are prolific for salmon and famous for large fish but also great numbers of returning fish due to the hatchery at Kielder.
The River Till
The River Till, one of the best sea trout rivers in Britain, this river is a fantastic night fishing venue and always produces a few double figured fish every season.
The River Coquet
The River Coquet, a small spate river based South East of Alnwick with great runs of salmon & sea trout throughout the season.
The River Whitadder
Whiteadder Water is a river in East Lothian and Berwickshire, Scotland. It also flows for a very short distance through Northumberland before joining the River Tweed. It is the first tributary of the Tweed from the Sea. It has great runs of Salmon throughout the year but normally performs best in the Spring.
River Teviot
The River Teviot is a superb salmon river and very underestimated. It flows down into the Junction Pool on the River Tweed.
We have gained access to a beautiful private stretch of water close to Nesbit which is made up of some incredible fly pools. Not only dose it fish well in the autumn it does have some great spring catches if given the right water conditions. As well as salmon, it provides some superb sea trout fishing throughout the summer on last light.
We are really spoilt for choice
We have access to our own private stretches and also share numerous leases on private water to give our clients and customers the best experience and best chance of catching some great fish. We try hard to keep away from angling club waters and district waters to make it even more private.

Guiding and Tuition on Rivers and Lakes
As well as fishing and guiding on rivers we also offer guiding & tuition on a few private lakes of which we have access to which get very little angling pressure. One of the lakes has a huge head of large brown trout and the other has a good stock of rainbow trout. A few examples of some of our most popular packages are listed below however, these can be be tailored to suit your requirements:
• Evening sea trout guiding on the River Coquet or River Till
• Full day or half days guiding for salmon on the River Tyne/ North Tyne
• Morning session learning to cast on a private lake
• Evening dry fly fishing for large wild browns

As well as fishing, recent customers have combined their experience with a few shooting days, this can range from a great days pigeon shooting, trying to stalk a trophy roe buck or even trying their luck with stalking for a seika deer.
