2022 Spring Fishing Update
After an Incredible first half to our Spring Season, kicking off towards the end of March with our first fresh fish, the fishing got better and better as the weeks progressed. Early to Mid April was unbelievable.
We were very lucky to get a series of good floods within a few weeks on the Whiteadder which kept the levels topped up and brought fresh fish into the system on a daily basis providing us with some superb sport.
More incredible memories were made with some incredible fish being landed, four of my clients landing there first ever salmon on the fly and a few friends landing a handful of fish in a small time period. Certainly a few weeks I will not forget in a hurry!
All the fish you see pictured were all caught on single handed 7 & 8 weight trout rods I may add, making the moment and fight even more special.
A positive post which suddenly leads to a negative post unfortunately due to the last few weeks weather. No serious rain for nearly two weeks now has put a stop to our guiding on the Whiteadder,
A lack of flow and gin clear water makes fishing impossible but more importantly makes very uncomfortable conditions for the Spring Salmon.
All we can do is pray for rain
I’ve added a few pictures below of our April Highlights, apologies if iv missed a few photos out of Clients.
I wish everyone Tightlines for the rest of your Spring and let’s hope we finally get some well deserved rain so we can end our Spring Fishing on a high.
